iComplete steps into the motown spotlight as An Ode To Motown returns by popular demand to Joburg Theatre.

Following a sold-out debut season that left Joburg audiences clamouring for more, AN ODE TO MOTOWN makes its triumphant return to the Mandela Stage at Joburg Theatre from 4–13 September 2026.

This refreshed, high-energy season introduces dynamic new additions to the setlist alongside the standout male vocal group iComplete, who step further into the spotlight with their unmistakable harmonies and modern South African flair.

Under the visionary direction of James Ngcobo, choreography by Lulu Mlangeni, and musical direction by Margaret Motsage, the production reunites a powerhouse South African cast including Liesl Penniken, Lerato Mvelase, Tamara Dey, Hlengiwe Pearl, Anele Precious Mthethwa, and iComplete backed by a roaring live band.

While original crowd favourites remain, the updated repertoire brings fresh vocal pairings and electrifying new moments with iComplete takes centre stage with soul-stirring renditions of DeBarge’s “All This Love” and the Commodores’ “Sail On.” Anele Precious Mthethwa and Hlengiwe Pearl join forces to lead a show-stopping performance of “Crush. ” Tamara Dey delivers a soulful main-stage interpretation of Stevie Wonder’s classic “Knocks Me Off My Feet.”

To celebrate their expanded role, Joburg Theatre commissioned an exclusive editorial shoot featuring iComplete, styled by renowned designer Paledi Pulse. Blending bold tailoring, rich colours, and vintage swagger, the collaboration reinterprets the classic Motown gentleman through a contemporary, fashion-forward lens.
