‘Screamingly funny’ irreverent satire ‘The Agents’ opens at Sandton Theatre on the Square and audiences are raving!

Sandton babes, it’s finally your turn! Smash hit play ‘The Agents’ by Robaby Productions returns to the stage this October for one final Jo’burg run. Back by popular demand, this time your favourite realtors are taking over Sandton Theatre on the Square.

If you haven’t yet met the unforgettable characters of Venter, Linda, and Brenda, then you’re in for a theatrical treat. This Fleur du Cap – nominated ensemble shine as a trio of deliciously devious, over-the-top estate agents willing to say and do ANYTHING for their next sale.

‘No one is safe from ‘The Agents’ hilariously sharp critiques. From slick property influencers to clueless home buyers to “those” neighbourhood watch groups – yes, you know the ones…’ laughs Roberto Pombo, founder of Robaby Productions and one of the writers and performers of the play.

Along with his co-creators, Kyla Davis and Lisa Derryn Overy, the company gleefully tears apart the cut-throat world of property development, gentrification, luxury estate living and the Capitalist dream itself. Written and performed by Davis, Derryn Overy, and Pombo and directed by physical theatre legend Toni Morkel,’The Agents’ is the outrageous satirical comedy we all deserve.

Described as a ‘smart play, with a superbly crafted script and zany performances’-‘The Agents’ features expert clowning, mime, and physical comedy in a contemporary satire that ‘zips and thrusts’ (The Cape Robyn, 2024).

So, put in that offer now for a cringeworthy cautionary tale that will leave you laughing hysterically, all while questioning the price of the dream we’ve been sold.’The Agents’ is on until 31 October with tickets available through Webtickets. Don’t miss this opportunity to see why audiences can’t stop talking about these rogue Agents!
