A purpose led SportArtTainment lifestyle annual showcase that celebrates cancer survivors and raises funds for those who are still fighting cancer:

“WALKING & DANCING OUT OF CANCER”

This year we extend the festivities to a two-day feat.

The runners and walkers will choose between the 5km or 10 km routes starting from Soweto Theatre and ending at Soweto Theatre. This will be on Saturday 26 October 2024.

The other leg of the festivities will be a Jazz, Dance and Poetry Festival on 27 October. The festival will consist of live Music, Dance and Drum festival. Be sure to be treated to the same calibre as last year’s artist. We boasted artists like The Hugh Masekela Band that took us through a journey of Hugh’s music through to Billy Monama, Tshidi from Malaika and many more artists. This year will be even grander as we give you vocalists such as Wanda Baloyi.

Our strategy is to celebrate and educate through Dance, Sports and Music. In our experience using experiential platforms to educate draws in and engages the audience and ensures a long-lasting impact on the learning. This is a celebration of life and how else can you do this other than getting our people informed.

Our Goals are solely linked to the cause of fighting cancer through the following programmes:

1. Education – Edutainment

To relay the message about the prevention of and surviving cancer. This is a powerful way to relay the message by drawing people in through what they love: entertainment, sports and captivating stories of survival by well-known icons.

2. Bridging the Gap

We seek to bridge the gap between the supporters, caregivers and patients. Too often we have heard stories of witchcraft or treatment failures as the cause of the ailment.
