Love & Music adds US Grammy nominee to its line-up
It’s rare to find award-winning and talented artists perform under one roof and for free. And that’s exactly what Love & Music will be presenting.
Featuring twice Grammy nominee, Saul Paul from the US, SAMA and Crown Gospel award winning Bongi & Collin, ASE award and SAMA nominee Ayanda Jiya and multiple Crown Award winning KeMoriti, (whose real name is Karabo Mongatane), Love & Music jam session is one event not to be missed.
It takes place on Sunday 12 June at Gratitude Restaurant in Modderfontein. Starting time is 16:00 and is expected to be finished by 20:00. Admission is free and is on a first come first serve basis. Patrons can reserve seats by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com. Reservation however doesn’t guarantee seating as walk-ins are also allowed and thus the venue may reach capacity early. Patrons are therefore encouraged to arrive early at the venue.
SaulPaul is a US based 2X Grammy nominated musician with a message. He has had two #1 Songs on Sirius XM, as well as one Top 5 & one Top 15 album on iTunes. He has visited three continents and numerous countries and has toured the world sharing his music. He has also presented three TEDx Talks, performed at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts and has been featured on America’s Got Talent. His life story of transitioning from tragedy to triumph has been told on screen via the documentary Tower to Tower as well as via his memoir Be The Change. He has also featured Bongi & Collin on his Motivation song, and which was recorded in the US for the United Nations, and its music video shot in France. The song was on the compilation album that earned a nomination in this year’s Grammy awards. It’s expected that the two will perform the song at the Sunday jam session. For Bongi & Collin, it will be another journey of their love songs, that begun with their Love, Us and Friends two years ago, and whose second instalment was this year. Those who have experienced the duo live, know that they remain a marvel to watch on stage, especially when they sing those love songs to each other. If you want to fall in love all over again, then you better come through on Sunday.
Joining the two acts will be Ayanda Jiya, who has just returned from her successful US tour where she performed at SXSW in Austin Texas, also in New York and in LA where she even won a singing talent competition, beating over 20 other artists from various states in the US. It will be the SAMA nominee and ASE Award winning singer’s first performance in SA since her return from the tour, and her fans who have been waiting for so long, will undoubtedly be delighted. Completing the lineup will be KeMoriti. He has won multiple Crown Awards and even won an award in London, The UK. His music is loved by many and will definitely be a marvel to listen to at Love & Music.
