Condolences to the Legendary Steve Kekana’s Family
Joburg City Theatres (JCT) sends heartfelt condolences to the family of Steve Kekana, a legendary singer, who serenaded lovers with his soulful and beautiful ballads in the late 1970s and 1980.
Kekana took music lovers on a nostalgic journey through his melody. Steve Kekana was among the other greatest giants who performed on the iconic Mandela stage at Joburg Theatre. His last show, at the Theatre: Iphupho the Dream Ikusasa, which focused on uncovering talent and celebrating arts legends and icons.
Joburg City Theatres Chief Executive Officer, Xoliswa Nduneni-Ngema, has expressed her heartfelt sympathy to the Steve Kekana family. “Our deepest condolences to all who knew and loved South African Music folklore. A selfless and courageous person who never let any obstacles or disability come his way to reaching his dreams. We are deeply saddened by the news”.
