Explore a career within our museums
Join Iziko Museums on Monday, 19, Thursday, 22 and Friday, 23 July 2021 for an exciting, three-day Careers Workshop. Taking place from 09:00 until 14:30 across these three days during the July school holidays, this workshop is open to Grade 9 to 12 learners. Take the opportunity to explore various career options in this jam-packed, educational, fun and enriching experience!
Learn more about curating, collections management and displays, research, education and many more exciting and extraordinary career options at Iziko Museums. Developed by the Iziko Education Department, this programme is made possible by the input, facilitation and expertise of Iziko Museums practitioners – who will offer an insight into their day-to-day work, as well as the career path they chose to become the museum professionals they are today.
All learners who would like to participate in this Careers Workshop must please submit a motivational letter to Kashiefa Milward at kmilward@Iziko.org.za by Wednesday, 7 July 2021. The letter must include mention of the learner’s school, age, grade and a short paragraph expressing their interest in both museums and the workshop. Interested learners who are required to participate in job-shadowing programmes for Life Orientation are welcome to take this opportunity. A full programme will be sent to learners who express interest and who are invited to attend.
